Position Summary
The Human Resources and Administration Manager will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for leading and coordinating all HR and administrative functions. The role aims to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and alignment with the company’s mission and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals.
Lead recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
Oversee performance management systems, including setting KPIs, conducting appraisals, and managing career development.
Foster positive employee relations and address workplace grievances.
Design and implement staff learning and development initiatives.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure full compliance with Kenyan labor laws.
Coordinate payroll, compensation, and benefits in collaboration with the finance team.
Administrative Management
Ensure effective communication and workflow between departments.
Manage and maintain both digital and physical filing systems.
Organize company events, internal meetings, and official communications.
Provide administrative support to the leadership team including scheduling and documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration (HR Option), or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in HR, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR compliance standards.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
Preferred Qualifications
HR certification (e.g., CHRP, SHRM, CIPD) is an added advantage.
Experience working in a manufacturing or social enterprise environment.
Demonstrated passion for social impact and organizational values.
