Role Overview
The Sacco Manager will lead the Sacco’s operations, ensuring strategic growth, regulatory compliance, and effective communication between the board and management. This role demands integrity, leadership, and a deep understanding of cooperative regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and interpret the Board’s decisions to guide Sacco operations.
- Provide strong leadership to staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Oversee the Sacco’s business operations in alignment with stakeholder interests.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans and operational budgets for Board approval.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the implementation of Sacco policies and procedures.
- Handle human resource functions, including recruitment, task delegation, and staff management.
- Facilitate effective communication between management and the Board.
- Serve as the Sacco’s primary spokesperson.
- Perform additional lawful duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Business degree from a recognized university.
- At least two (2) years of experience as a team leader in a Sacco or similar role in a comparable organization.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Strong understanding of the Cooperative Act and Sacco Societies Regulations.
- Certificate of good conduct.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
