U.S. Embassy to Kenya Announces Fresh Recruitment – Multiple Job Openings Available (Apply by July 10, 2025)

The U.S. Embassy in Kenya, a long-standing partner in strengthening diplomatic and development ties since 1964, has announced new job vacancies across several critical roles in humanitarian assistance, project management, and administrative support. These roles are based in Nairobi and open to qualified professionals passionate about international development, diplomacy, and public service.

  • Project Management Specialist (HA – Programming) – 3 Positions
  • Office Management Assistant – USEFMs (Part-time)

General Job Requirements:

Most project management roles require a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields such as Public Health, Agriculture, International Relations, Social Sciences, or Project Management, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in humanitarian or development-focused programs. Senior positions demand advanced technical expertise and leadership in managing large-scale donor-funded projects.

The Office Management Assistant role requires at least 2 years of administrative experience and completion of high school education, ideally suited for eligible family members (USEFMs) seeking part-time work.


Key Duties Across Positions Include:

  • Oversight of U.S. Government-funded humanitarian projects
  • Technical liaison between USG agencies and local partners
  • Strategic planning, project design, and implementation
  • Monitoring & evaluation (M&E) and performance reporting
  • Stakeholder engagement with donors, government, and NGOs
  • Budget tracking, compliance, and documentation

Eligibility & Application Guidelines:

Applicants must:

  • Be able to obtain a Certificate of Good Conduct or Police Clearance Certificate
  • Pass a background investigation and medical exam
  • Be ready to commence work within 4 weeks of receiving clearances
  • Meet all qualifications, including educational, technical, and experience requirements as outlined per job
