THE JOB

We are seeking to fill the position of production engineer to join our team. The individual will be dealing with production of a variety of building materials including building blocks, paving blocks and ballast. The products are made from natural lock using a variety of machines and equipment which include but not limited to a wheel loader and generator. The individual will work closely with the rest of the team to ensure success of the role.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  1. Recruit, train and adequately staff the relevant sections.
  2. Develop and maintain a sound maintenance schedule for all machines and equipment.
  3. Develop a mechanical and electrical workshop.
  4. Develop a sound and solid operation plan to ensure efficiency in both operations and sales.
  5. Be responsible for ensuring safety at the work site.
  6. Maintain good relations with all stakeholders including the local community and government officials.
  7. Maintain proper records of purchases and supplies

QUALIFICATIONS

The job holder should have the following qualifications.

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  2. 2 years’ proven experience in a building materials production site.
  3. Must be willing to relocate to Tanzania

THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE JOB

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies.

  • Basic mechanical/electrical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING THE RIGHT PERSON
